This trend, combined with India’s excellent pool of engineers and burgeoning consumer and businesses, make it ripe for investment. There is also a much bigger and scalable local market that can absorb innovation.

Ms. Padmasree Warrior, CTO of Cisco will talk about her personal experience in innovation as well as technology, What Indian start-ups should be doing to make them more competitive in an increasingly flat world, best-practice sharing and global trends in innovation leading to co-creation across the boundaries

A prominent feedback that we got form the survey we did a few months ago was that we should have more meetings were we collectively discuss and suggest solutions to the various problems that people are experiencing in their real world projects, so lets do that. We’ll dedicate a major portion of the meeting to this .. so come packed with all your questions.. I’ll try and request some of the flex team guys to be around so that we can get some help.

What is ROTOMUN (Roto is for Rotary club and MUN for

A Model United Nations, or a MUN, is a conference that simulates the working and functioning of the United Nations Organization. It follows the rules of parliamentary procedure, while encouraging thinking that’s out-of-the-box. A MUN focuses on the functioning of the various organs of the United Nations, for example the Security Council, the ECOSOC, The General Assembly, etc. Each school is represented by a delegation that has been assigned a country that is a member of the United Nations. The participants need to be fully aware of the policies of their country – pertaining to both internal and external affairs. They must possess a clear understanding of the problems faced by their nation – locally, nationally, and on a multi-national level. This will allow them to involve themselves fully in the heated debates that take place during the sessions of their assembly.

aiesecindia June 12th

Date: 12th June 2008
Venue: Hotel Chancery Pavillion, Residency Road, Bangalore

Time: 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm

AIESEC in Bangalore hosts PLETHORA , a career fair for students and
recent graduates on the 12th of June from 2.00 pm-6.30 pm at Hotel
Chancery Pavillion, Residency Road, Bangalore.

We have a mind-set that ‘Branded Study’ or and ‘Branded Career’ is the
only road to success. Here at Plethora, the youth will be challenged
to think beyond the traditional career mindsets, and explore global
and local opportunities. AIESEC in Bangalore aims provide youth with a
range of opportunities that are open to them post Graduation and
during the course of their study. To provide youth with career
options, that they may build themselves a career in the field that
they choose. Similarly, to provide companies and NGO s with young
talent that they can absorb into their firms.

AIESEC aims at providing a common platform for the youth and the
corporate and non- corporate world to come together in a symbiotic
relationship where they can leverage off each other. The event is all
about the opportunities that are viable to students and graduates that
could help them build successful resumes and hence careers.

To bring about such an environment, the AIESEC internship programme
will be show cased among the students present, to educate them of the
international and global possibilities that await them and the
benefits that such a programme can have on their resumes.

This forum aims at increasing the awareness of the diverse
opportunities that are available to students and professionals. The
primary objective is to promote the opportunities in companies amongst
the masses, and at the same time in synergy with AIESEC making
provision for career advice for the different profile of people
present there.

Companies that will be present there are

Asipack,
IMS
Make my trip.com
TeleMate 1  to name a few.
IMS will be giving out Scholarships worth  Rs1,00,000.

Some of the NGOs that will be present are

Samarthanam,
Dream a Dream Foundation and
Bosco Manne.

AIESEC is the worlds largest student led organization has a network of
over 104 countries with membership of over 29000 and counting.
