Facing a challenge in your startup? Want some expert help from the right person?
NEN Mentoring Sessions provide entrepreneurs with intensive mentoring on a specified issue, as well as the opportunity to network with other entrepreneurs and experts. NEN Mentors are usually angel investors, venture capitalists or seasoned entrepreneurs, with appropriate industry expertise.

During the half-day event, pre-selected teams and their carefully matched mentors spend a private hour (one on one)discussing the challenges entrepreneurs have described in advance. Informal networking over tea and snacks takes place throughout the morning.

If you are an entrepreneur who is:
– Trying to get your company started
– Attempting to land your first customer
– Starting to grow your company

And you have a specific question or problem you would like to discuss with an expert….then apply for your NEN Mentoring Session- download the Mentor Request Form , fill in the details and mail it back to us.

While there are no fees charged, we are registering only 9 mentee teams on a first-come-first-served basis. So please do register at the earliest. Last date to submit your form is 25th March’11.

Please do write back if you have any questions. We look forward to hearing from you.

Warm regards,
Sunitha Prasad

Mathematical modeling, Measurement, and Analysis using MATLAB

Seminar Overview
Mathematical modeling and analysis has become an integral part of the development process across the engineering industry. Scientists and engineers across domains develop mathematical models to gain insight into the behavior of a real-world system that they work with.

In this seminar MathWorks Engineers will present on the two mathematical modeling techniques that are commonly used in the industry:

Modeling systems based on their governing equations – also called first-principles modeling
Modeling systems based on field data – Focusing on data-driven modeling using statistical methods
We will be showcasing the workflow followed for both the modeling techniques and how the MathWorks solutions provide an integrated platform that fits seamlessly into them. During the session we will demonstrate, using real-world case studies, how to overcome the following challenges that engineers face while modeling:

Getting from mathematical concepts to a software model
Validation and optimization of the mathematical model against requirements
Acquiring field data from files, field instruments, and test rigs
Characterizing systems using field data
Representing real-world datasets as optimized lookup tables
Utilizing the power of multiple processing cores to speed up calculations
Deploying models across a whole organization
Please note this Seminar is not designed for students. If you are a student, please do not register for this seminar.
