Great to see the overwhelming response on the sign-ups for Saturday’s Cloudbase Unconference! We might have to shut down the RSVPs tomorrow, so if you haven’t saved your seat as yet, do so immediately here 🙂

Where: JAAGA, No 68, Lalbagh KH Road, Near HDFC Bank, Behind K H Road Bus Shelter, Bangalore – 560027, Bangalore (please park in one of the by-lanes around the venue and walk it up, as 4 wheeler parking not available inside – nearest parking on the HDFC crossroad)


4pm : Doors open, sign in

4:30pm : Presenter Gautam Manohar – Head of Technology & VP Special Learning Inc. to talk about their mobile and internet applications aiding behaviour therapy for autistic children and their families, use of cloud in their business, advantages of cloud, challenges if any, costs in setup and running and more. Gautam has been a startup entrepreneur himself, who is up to date with the best technologies and platforms that can be utilized to boost new businesses.

4:50pm – 5pm : Q and A

5pm : Thriveni to talk about Cloud Security Systems. She is a Professor of Computer Science with teaching experience in various esteemed engineering colleges. She has participated in national and international conferences and won the best technical research paper award for her paper titled, “Cloud computing as the next best business strategy”

5:50pm : Anshum Gupta to speak on Amazon CloudSearch and his experience with various startups who weren’t pro-cloud, why he now understands the advantages of cloud technology. He is a software engineer-cum-architect specializing in search engines and intelligent systems. Currently, a part of the AWS CloudSearch team. He has had extensive experience being a primary contributor in the Search teams at various startups like Naukri and Cleartrip

6:10pm : Q and A

6:20pm : Bhavesh Goswami Co-Founder and CEO of Cloudthat to speak on “Host your application in Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud in Minutes”. We will learn about Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) and Amazon CloudFormation, and how to host your application in the cloud. Bhavesh was one of the first developers in Simple Storage Service (S3) team of Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Seattle. He honed his Cloud computing skills at Amazon where he helped ship the first version of S3 in 2006. After over three years at Amazon, he moved to Microsoft to take up the challenge to manage Cosmos, the cloud storage and computational engine that powers all of Microsoft’s Online Services, including Bing.
