Hi Friends,
Bamboo Rustles is planning to conduct a Biodiversity Count – in the Kongenapalli Range (Krishnagiri District). The aim of the biodiversity count is to gain a better insight about the flora and fauna (insects, birds, plants, mammals) of the area surrounding the camp. It will also be a fun camp out experience surrounded by forests in the night.

Those interested in the count can confirm their participation with us at the earliest. This would help us in making the necessary arrangements for the night out at the camp.

Brief Program:
Cost: Rs. 500 (This entire amount will be donated to Kenneth Anderson Nature Society (KANS) towards conservation in the Melagiri Range). http://www.kans.org.in/
Sept 7th: (Depart Bangalore Around Noon)
– Once every one reaches the camp we shall have a small introduction session to get to know each other.
– We shall hand out tents (sharing basis) to put up for the night to all the participants.
– After which we shall make three to four teams to conduct the biodiversity count of the area.
– By about 4:30pm onwards each team will head out to start the count and return back to the camp by nightfall. After which we shall have dinner, those teams interested can also go for a night trail in the surrounding areas.
Sept 8th :
– Each team shall again start the biodiversity count at 6:00am in the morning and be back by 8:30am for breakfast.
– Post breakfast all the teams shall meet together to consolidate the data collected during the count.
– After which we shall pack the tents take a group picture and people can depart back to Bangalore or spend more time at the camp site.

We shall be providing very simple and basic dinner and breakfast, and as mentioned earlier a tent on sharing basis and sleeping bags.
Everything else needs to be borne by the participants (ex. transportation to camp and back and other basic things required for night out).

We shall share further details for the camp with the selected participants.

Kind Regards,
Ashish GB
