ImagineIndia our partner for Feet on the Street this month

ImagineIndia, an organisation formed with the basic premise that one person CAN make a difference. It’s an organisation that believes that each of us out there wants to do something for the needy and ImagineIndia provides a space for all the little drops to become an ocean. ImagineIndia is currently focused on child care and development.
For a lot of underprivileged children in most rural & some urban schools – both governmental & non governmental, writing is still restricted to traditional methods like writing on black walls or slates. And every time something new has to be written, a child has to erase the old information first, and along with it, a significant part of learning & knowledge is erased.

In an endeavour to ensure that what they learn stays with them, ImagineIndia runs a Notebook Donation drive every year as part of our School Adoption Program. They support over 100 schools for the underprivileged in both rural & urban areas by providing education materials like books, pens, pencils, uniforms & shoes; improving the infrastructure by building roofs, toilets, etc. This is apart from initiatives like setting up computer labs, life-skills programs, art competitions and sports rooms. In short, they make an earnest effort to give what every child needs – a childhood.

According to their estimates, the cost of notebooks per child per year works out to be Rs. 70. And at Rs. 100, we can buy all the study materials they need – books, pens, pencils, boxes, etc.

How many children can you help?

You can contribute by writing a cheque/DD drawn in favour of “ImagineIndia Foundation”, HDFC A/c # 08771450000015, Padmanabnagar Branch. This can be deposited at any HDFC Branch or ATM or sent by post/courier to #15, II Main, I Block, BSK III Stage, III Phase, Bangalore-560085. Alternately, you can make an online/NEFT/RGTS transfer to the same account number.

**Note: ImagineIndia Foundation is a registered trust & recognised under Sec80G of the Income Tax Act. All donations to ImagineIndia will be tax exempt. Tax exemption receipts will be mailed/emailed to you on request. ”
